3 Months Free Insurance Instructions
In order to benefit from giving our 3 month's free insurance to your customer, please ensure you follow these instructions exactly.
FSA Compliance Guidelines
Please note that as a mobile phone dealer you will not be selling insurance and you will not be advising the customer with regards insurance in any way. The 3 months
free insurance is a free addition at the time of the sale of a mobile phone and full details of the insurance
will be sent to the customer by post.
Terms and conditions' are also included on the customer's
'3 months free gift certificate'
which can given to the customer at point of order.
The customer will have the chance to opt out of the insurance at any time.
Wording guideline for the inclusion of 3 months free insurance with the sale of a mobile phone.
"In addition to your mobile phone you will have 3 months free mobile phone insurance. You will receive all the details regarding your mobile phone insurance in the
post and if for any reason you are not happy you can always cancel the insurance at any time. Remember that you will have 3 months free insurance."
Data protection
For data protection reasons the dealer must make it clear to the customer that their bank details will be passed to a third party company in order to set up the 3
months free insurance cover.
Some dealers include this in their own customer T & Cs or contract which the customer signs before being supplied their phone and contract.
Wording guide for the passing of customer's data.
"I understand that my bank and personal details will be passed to third party companies only in order to set up my insurance cover.
I am aware that I have been given 3 months free insurance and that I can cancel my insurance at any time"
